By Broadcast Educators Association

Al Tompkins was the keynote speaker at the Broadcast Educators Association of Canada conference. (www.beac.ca). The Poynter Institute’s senior faculty for broadcasting and online says ‘critical thinking’ is the most important skill you can have as a journalist. A journalist needs to find the context. What came before and what came after? See the truth and tell it as fully as possible. Tompkins did this “critical thinking” Q&A with me for Fanshawe College students and others, following his session in Burnaby, BC.
